The debut lp from Mac and cohorts is a raw, heavy slab of abrasive grunge with just enough hooks to make it palatable. The band were at the heaviest edge of grunge with a fierce, r aw sound but knew how to write some anthemic tunes, too, with "Slack Motherfucker", their unofficial them song being the prime example.
