Stainless steel scissors are an essential tool for all planted aquariums. Simple and effective to use, their sharp blades make a clean cut through plant stems without crushing or damaging them. Available with either a curved or straight tip. So what's the difference? Curved – ideal for trimming stem plants, carpeting plants and creating a neat, shaped finish. The angled blades make it easier to see the area you're cutting and work around plants, rocks and wood. For general aquarium maintenance, curved scissors tend to be the most versatile option and are the style most aquascapers will reach for first. Straight – best when you want a direct, precise cut, particularly when trimming individual stems or reaching into tighter groups of plants. The straight blades also work well for removing damaged leaves and making controlled cuts close to the base of a plant.
