Key Benefits + Equipment Upgrade Benefits Variable-speed operation supports more efficient circulation than running a conventional single-speed pump at full speed. Dual-voltage 115–230V input provides flexibility for common replacement installations. Three programmable speeds, an override setting, and a real-time 24-hour clock simplify daily scheduling. RS-485 connectivity supports integration with compatible automation systems and connected devices. TEFC motor construction and an improved mechanical seal support dependable, quieter operation. Designed as a drop-in replacement for existing Pentair SuperFlo pumps and Hayward Super Pump applications; verify fit and system requirements before ordering. Quick Product Summary The Pentair SuperFlo VST EC-342002 is a 2.2 THP variable-speed pool pump built for everyday circulation, equipment upgrades, and common SuperFlo or Hayward Super Pump replacement applications. Its dual-voltage input, programmable controls, TEFC motor, and RS-485 connectivity give pool owners greater scheduling flexibility while helping qualified installers simplify compatible replacement projects. Best For Pool owners replacing an existing Pentair SuperFlo pump or a compatible Hayward Super Pump installation, upgrading from single-speed operation, or adding programmable circulation control to an in-ground pool system. Why This Matters Lets circulation speed match filtration, cleaning, and other operating needs instead of running at one fixed speed. Provides onboard scheduling for routine operation without relying solely on an external time clock. Offers dual-voltage flexibility for qualifying replacement projects. Supports automation communication through an RS-485 connection. Helps buyers identify the correct SuperFlo VST model by matching item 342002 and SKU EC-342002. Common Signs You Need This / Use This When Your existing single-speed pump runs at full speed for every circulation task. Your current Pentair SuperFlo or Hayward Super Pump installation is being evaluated for replacement. You want programmable pump speeds and a built-in 24-hour operating schedule. Your pool system needs a variable-speed pump that can operate on a verified 115V or 230V supply. You need RS-485 communication for a compatible automation installation.
