The P-51 Mustangs flying over the Big Sky Country of Montana attracted David Jensen's attention at a young age. He wanted to fly. The Vietnam War loomed by the time he had the chan ce to pursue that dream as a college student in Air Force ROTC. His first assignment after pilot training led him to Southeast Asia for a year of military service to his country, leaving behind a pregnant wife and baby girl. Unlike the hard-living Vietnam Vets sometimes depicted in movies or books, David's membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints shaped his choices through the life and death challenges of war.
