A pair of sculptural candles whose curved silhouettes introduce movement to the collection’s vertical forms. The surfaces carry small irregular protrusions that subtly animate the light as the candles burn. Staritsa refers to an oxbow lake: a crescent-shaped section of river left behind as the current changes course. The form echoes this quiet geometry of water, while the second candle, Puziriki, recalls the small air bubbles that rise slowly to the surface of a river.
