Swiftune SW10 – a serious fast-road camshaft with proven performance from the street to the track. The Swiftune SW10 is a versatile performance camshaft developed for fast-road, rally, hill-climb and track-day applications. Originally designed as a road-friendly replacement for the 286 profile, the SW10 has become one of Swiftune's most popular performance camshafts. In a well-built 1330 or 1380cc engine, the SW10 can deliver 10+ BHP over an SW5, while retaining excellent drivability. Expect a slightly lumpy idle without becoming excessive, with a strong powerband from approximately 2500 RPM through to 7000 RPM. Proven Performance Swiftune testing has produced impressive results across a range of applications: 1330cc road engine: 114 BHP @ 7000 RPM 1293cc historic rally engine: 122 BHP @ 7500 RPM 1380cc track engine: 125 BHP @ 7100 RPM with 104 ft/lbs peak torque The SW10 has been successfully used in fast-road Minis, historic rally cars, hill-climb cars, track-day engines and Swiftune's own Mini Madgwick. Why SW10? Excellent fast-road performance Strong, broad powerband Great choice for 1330 & 1380cc engines Suitable for road, rally and track applications Ideally suited to 1.4:1 rockers Swiftune exclusive design CNC ground from a custom steel billet blank Increased surface hardening for excellent wear resistance Developed using advanced valve-train computer modelling Manufactured to tight tolerances using modern CNC cam-grinding technology The SW10 is an exclusive Swiftune design and is not available from any other manufacturer. Recommended Engine Combinations For a strong road 1330/1380cc engine, Swiftune recommends combinations including a good cylinder head, approximately 10.5:1 compression, twin 1.5" carbs or an HIF44, and suitable valve train components. For more serious competition applications, the SW10 has also proven itself in high-revving 1293cc and 1380cc engines. IMPORTANT – OIL PUMP REQUIREMENT For 1275cc engines with the slot/spade-drive, you will need oil pump GLP138 to suit this camshaft. The SW10 is not really intended for small-bore engines, although it can be used. For small-bore applications, the appropriate oil pump is GLP139. A superb choice for anyone wanting significantly more performance without moving to an overly aggressive race cam.
