Swallows 27.5 × 21.5 in (70 × 55 cm) Original watercolour on paper. This painting was created as a special commission and, for the first time, I found myself painting swallows. As a child, I watched them return to our family’s stable every spring, building their nest and raising their tiny chicks. They were always busy, always chattering, and somehow made the whole place feel alive. It was a joy to revisit those memories through this painting. Swallows have long been a symbol of home, hope, and safe returns, and I hope these two bring that same feeling wherever they find their home.
