Asclepias incarnata. A beautiful, 4 ft native perennial that thrives in moist soil, in full sun or part shade, and does not spread. Its clusters of pink flowers form a beautiful di splay. Swamp milkweed is a great food source for Monarch butterflies - the caterpillars eat the leaves and stalks, while the adults feed on the nectar. Slower-growing than common milkweed, the swamp milkweed is also better behaved and does not spread via its roots. Show more
