Swarm Removal & Relocation Darren’s Apiary provides safe removal and relocation of honey bee swarms from accessible locations such as trees, fences, structures, vehicles, and other areas where a swarm has gathered. Swarm removal is charged at: $50.00 for the first hour of labor $0.76 per mile, calculated shop-to-shop Additional labor beyond the first hour is billed at $50.00 per hour Any specialized equipment required to safely complete the removal may result in additional charges If additional materials are required, materials are billed at cost + 5% The initial 1-hour labor charge covers the removal and collection of an accessible swarm. Swarms located in difficult-to-access areas, at significant heights, inside structures, or requiring specialized equipment may require additional time and charges. Because swarm behavior and accessibility can vary, the final price may vary based on the location, accessibility, time required, mileage, equipment, and materials needed to safely complete the removal. Please note: Swarm removal applies to free-hanging or exposed honey bee swarms. Honey bee colonies established inside walls, structures, attics, chimneys, soffits, or other enclosed areas are considered structural bee removals and are priced separately.
