The IRON Chenin Blanc is produced from the Rondomskrik site, situated on the rolling hills outside of Malmesbury in the Swartland, which enjoys cool nights and mild days during the growing season, which contributes to the concentration found in this brightly acidic wine. Notable yellow orchard summer fruits, fresh orange peel and a slight flintiness, leading to a multi-layered palate and slightly saline finish that round off this beautifully textural wine. Chris and Andrea Mullineux established their winery in 2007 in the Swartland region of South Africa, and within a very short time period the winery established itself as one of South Africa’s most celebrated wine brands, with Master of Wine Tim Atkin consistently listing them as one of his South African 'First Growths,' and additionally, in 2016 Andrea was named Wine Enthusiast's Winemaker of the Year. Their goal is to bring about the greatest representation of Swartland terroir possible, using a minimal approach, their wines show precision and purity, particularly their celebrated single-site bottlings: IRON, SCHIST, and GRANITE. 14.0% ABV
