Owned by cousins Hein and Adi Badenhorst, who began their winemaking journey restoring the cellar on a the Swartland farm that was last used in the 1930’s to make natural wines in the "old manner," with every aspect of the care of the vineyard being done either by hand or horse plow. Their vineyards are made up of very old bush-vines planted with Chenin Blanc (average 40 year old vines), Cinsault (average 45 years), and Grenache (average 58 years). Their White Blend is always Chenin Blanc based with 9 other varieties mixed in—the final blend changes year-to-year depending on what Nature provides—and the wine is aged for 6 to 8 months in concrete tank. A beautifully complex white wine full of white peaches, citrus blossoms, white tea, honey, and apples. Oh, and it has an wonderfully long finish. 13% ABV
