Stella is a self-fertile sweet cherry with large, delicious fruit. It is a variety known for heavy annual crops of large, firm, sweet, dark red fruit that are excellent for fresh eating, or any other use you can think of - dried, juice, preserves, pies, and more. These trees are larger than our other trees (about 5'-6' tall) having grown for two years since grafting, hence the slightly higher price than our other trees. This also means they are only available for local orders, as they are simply too large for us to package into boxes and ship. Pollination: Stella is self-fertile, and is a universal pollenizer for other sweet cherry trees. Disease resistance: Moderate disease-resistance. Rootstock: Mazzard.
