This type of coconut, known as "Angel Flake," has already been prepared into flaky, thin, soft shreds that are extremely easy to bake, cook, and decorate with. Though coconuts typically grow on large palm trees that are spread across the tropics, these shredded coconut flakes make it easy to experience delicious coconut flavor without needing to travel to the Caribbean. They have been mixed with powdered sugar for an enhanced sweet flavor. Coconut tastes great when paired with a variety of pastries, confections, and chocolates. Add hot fudge and coconut flakes to vanilla ice cream for an irresistible sundae! Create coconut chocolate chip cookies, coconut macaroons, or a classic coconut cream pie. You'll also be able to sprinkle these coconut flakes atop fruit salads or use them in Thai dishes and other ethnic dishes enhanced with coconut flavor. Great for baking and decorating alike, this versatile coconut topping is a must-have for your bakery or café.
