In 1926, Luigi Wollisch established his first workshop in the Via Rugabella in Milan, naming his company after the Roman procunsul Petronio, who was known throughout the empire as an arbiter of taste. Today the family still uphold the scrupulous standards that have made Petronius a byword for quality among the style cognoscenti and a favourite of such icons as Lino Ieluzzi.
