This Walking Dog toy is adapted by our Adapting Service so it can be activated using an accessible switch! We adapt this toy with TWO accessible switch jacks which allow you to activate both the BARK Button and the WALK button. The toy can be activated through the original method of pressing the leash buttons or through external switch presses. There are two different ways to play with this toy - placing the power switch on DEMO or ON modes. In DEMO mode, the activations are temporary. A BARK switch activation will cause the dog to wag its tail and bark for 10 seconds. A WALK switch activation will cause the dog to travel almost 2ft. while barking and whining for 8 seconds. In ON mode, the activations latch. A switch activation will cause the dog to bark or walk indefinitely until a second switch press turns it off. The two added switch jacks are located on the side of the leash handle and accept the standard 3.5 mm plug found on most accessible switches (also known as adaptive switches or capability switches). The jacks and wiring are high-quality and are added in a secure and durable method. The puppy is approximately 9" tall and 10" long and made of a very soft fabric. The leash is a little over 2 ft. long. The toy runs on 3 x AA batteries (included and installed). Switch is not included. This walking/barking dog is perfect for home play as well as occupational and speech therapy sessions, great for teaching cause-and-effect skills! The Walking Dog toy is manufactured by Kid Connection. We use a brand-new toy but must take it out of the original packaging to perform our Adapting Services. We ship it loosely placed back in its original packaging. By purchasing, you acknowledge this item will be adapted by our Adapting Service and is purchased as-is. Our Adapting Service violates the original manufacturer warranty, but Accessible Toys offers a 60-day warranty period from the date of delivery for any defects. Within the warranty period, a defective item will be repaired or replaced if a repair is not possible. You must contact us first before returning an item for repair.
