After hunting down the hardware, I realized I could add charging and HDMI output quite easily (with the correct USB C hub). THE CONCEPT WAS BORN!The internal hardware simply converts your N64 controllers into USB controllers that the Switch can recognize and use. What's the difference between the Pro and Mini dock? The Switch64 Pro Dock has 4 ports for N64 controllers, as well as an extra USB 3.0 port underneath, USB C for charging, and HDMI port for full 1080p TV output.The Mini is only has 2 ports for N64 controllers. No charging or HDMI goodies. Can the Switch64 Pro replace my current Switch dock? Yes. The Switch64 Pro has charging and 1080p TV output built in. Can I use my N64 controllers to play on the NSO with this dock? Absolutely! Though this is the primary reason behind the concept, they will also work on normal Switch games (minus the dedicated Home, Screenshot, +, and - buttons) Can the Switch64 be used as a portable? Yes. The Switch64 Pro dock can run completely off your Switch power, but it will not enable the HDMI unless the dock is powered externally. (USB C Switch charger)This is the normal setup for the Mini. How does the TV setup work? You must use an original Nintendo Switch power brick in order to "activate" the TV mode. A standard USB cable can still be used to charge the Switch when docked, but will NOT provide adequate power for TV mode.In short, the additional 15v power from the Switch cable is what "activates" TV mode.-- This cannot be done on the Mini. -- Will there be STL files available?
