The SwitchBack® 2.0 is the second evolution in the innovative SwitchBack Flashlight Ring product line. It incorporates features and refinements based on thousands of hours of use by our subject matter experts and customers. The SwitchBack mounts between the tailcap and body of your flashlight, making it secure regardless of impact, moisture, and heat/cold changes. During the design of the Switchback 2.0, Sage Dynamics provided significant input that led to the final version. Thyrm recognizes those contributions by featuring a Sage Dynamics logo and the first Sage Green colorway for the SwitchBack product line. The SwitchBack is also available in black, tan, and Urban Grey, each featuring the Thyrm logo. Designed and manufactured in the USA. Other SwitchBack Models Thyrm released the SwitchBack 3.0 Duty and SwitchBack 3.0 Deep Carry Flashlight Rings, each addressing a unique niche. They are compatible with the same lights as the SwitchBack 2.0 Large model, but are designed for gloved carry and rugged use (SwitchBack 3.0 Duty) or discreet low-profile carry (SwitchBack 3.0 Deep Carry). Installation can vary depending on your light make and model. Use our Installation Guide to get specific guidance for your light. For installation, first try installing the SwitchBack on your light without use of the o-ring or aluminum washer. Simply unscrew the tailcap, add the SwitchBack, and rescrew the tailcap back on. If the light does not activate upon use of the tailcap switch with the SwitchBack installed, try installing the aluminum washer as shown in the diagram below. Streamlight models tend to require the aluminum washer, but may not, depending on the tailcap features of the light. Elzetta and Surefire models do not usually require the aluminum washer, but users may find that addition of the rubber o-ring will help to stabilize the position of the SwitchBack.
