A beautifully handcrafted enamel switch plate cover is fun ctional as well as stunning. Ground glass was applied to the metal backing to form the beautiful image on this plate. It was then put into a kiln and fired at 1200-1300 degrees Fahrenheit. The glass melted, fused to the backing, and acquired a fine, glossy finish.
