The Sybil is a unique, expression-controlled pedal with eight separate “planes” of sound, ranging from utility staples such as volume to addictively expressive vocal-vowel sounds. Just plug in your standard expression pedal and 9V power supply to the top-side jacks and unleash something supernatural. The eight planes: It starts with a simple but important utility: Volume control. Toe-down for max volume, heel-down for muted. The “Dark Wah” takes guitar wah in a whole new direction with a highly resonant synth-type low-pass filter. The Octave-up plane allows you to quickly switch from unison to the octave, slowly sweep between them, or land on any pitch in between. The Octave-down plane allows you to drop the octave in the heel-down position and sweep to your natural note in the toe-down position. The Stutter plane allows you to dynamically control the speed of a hard cut, square wave tremolo The Vibrato plane gives you control of the speed and depth of the pitch modulation. The Phase Voice plane manually sweeps through the 4-stage phaser effect. This plane especially awakens with a fuzz or distortion pedal before it to create more overtones. The Vowel plane is the most mind-blowing voice, which imitates several human vowel sounds depending on how far you sweep through the pedal. The vowel sound becomes even more prominent with a fuzz or distortion before it. All these patches use an FV-1 digital chip, coded by hand and pushed into sonic territory that's mystically delicious.
