Tokusen grade: a rich, full-bodied sweet scent. Shoyeido produces its zuko in more than one grade. Tokusen is the richer and sweeter of the two we carry, while Gokuhin is calmer and less sweet. Every grade is built from the same core materials, so the difference lies in the proportions rather than in the ingredients themselves. Shoyeido's incense body powders - known in Japan as Zuko - are derived from recipes created over two centuries ago. Traditionally used to enhance awareness, clarity, and purification, they were often worn during the copying of Sutras. Made of completely natural ingredients such as clove, cinnamon, patchouli, sandalwood, and Borneol camphor, these lovely fragrances will freshen your day with a subtle, classic fragrance. To use, apply a small portion on the ear lobes or on the wrist, as you would perfume.
