This replacement female lower spreader fits the Synthesis (but not the Synthesis SE) and is made to be used together with a male lower spreader. The lower spreaders connect the lea ding edges of the kite to the spine and allow the standoffs to tension the sail. With tricks like The Flapjack, Lazy Susan and Jacob's Ladder, it's no surprise that flyers crack up these spars the most.
