In order to keep pressure on the front wheel and closing up the hip angle for more efficient climbing, riders are running to a solution of -17 stem to lower the bar, but usually these sizes are made for road bikes, ultra light and not entirely up to heavy trail riding and wide bars. The Flatforce takes the approach of building a stem with a negative drop but with all the strength that allows you to run wide bars up to 800mm which suits the more common big wheel, long travel enduro bikes available today.
