Vintage: 2024 Origin: Hajós-Baja, Hungary Grapes: Kövidinka Alcohol: 13.5% This fresh and approachable orange wine offers a fantastic take on the rare Kövidinka grape. The fruit wa s picked in two stages during early September, with one part fermented as whole clusters submerged in juice for five days, and the other pressed straight into 500-litre oak barrels. After ageing on its lees, it was bottled completely unfiltered and with zero added sulphur. It is wonderfully textured with a savoury weight that is perfectly balanced by a crisp, mineral edge. Expect interesting notes of black tea and gentle spice, leading into a clean finish. The wine really comes into its own after being open for a little while, as the flavours soften and harmonise beautifully in the glass. Show more
