When cows are dried off it can take a week for the natural protective plug to form. T-HEXXDRY® provides a physical anti-bacterial barrier, giving environmental protection to the teats during this period. The product can be used at drying off and again pre-calving. In both cases the product is used as a final step after the teat is cleaned and after antibiotic infusion or internal teat sealant. Pre-calving T-HEXXDRY® should be applied 14 days prior to calving and then again 3-5 days prior to calving if required. This product is also ideal for use on in-calf heifers, especially in areas with high fly populations.
