Additional 20X eyepieces extend the maximum magnification to 2000X, and 8 distinct levels of magnification to cover a wide range of specimens. The high-quality lenses are achromatically corrected to improve resolution and color accuracy. The 3D mechanical stage provides a wide range of movement, and is ergonomically designed for low-fatigue use. The variable-intensity LED illumination system provides a bright light source while maintaining a low temperature, which is beneficial when viewing live cells and other heat-sensitive specimens. The Abbe light condenser uses an iris diaphragm for aperture control to optimize contrast and depth-of-field, and can be positioned using rack-and-pinion movement. This is an ideal instrument for schools, clinics, veterinarians, and general use.
