Total Alkalinity is a buffer that helps the water to resist pH changes. Well-balanced Total Alkalinity of 80-100ppm results in stable pH and more efficient sanitiser. Incorrect Total Alkalinity can result in fluctuating pH levels, less effective chlorine, the water may cause irritation to user and it may cause damage to your pool or hot tub. How does Clearwater TA increaser work? ClearWater TA Plus is an alkalinity increaser that adds alkaline substances to neutralise acids, preventing rapid changes in pH. Clearwater TA Plus - Quick Start Guide: Step 1: Test water.
