This is a complete tying kit with all the materials required to tie 24 flies in this Tabanas Fly pattern, plus there will be lots left over, so additional hooks can be added at a later date to get even more flies from these materials. The Tabanas is a large horsefly, similar to our marchflies, and just as large in size. So, the Tabanas fly patterns actually works in imitating large moth and caddis flies as well. Our version of the Tabanas Fly brings a little bit of Australiana to the pattern. This results in Tabanas fly which is a great imitation for the Bogong moths that big brown trout go wild for in Australia. But it will work well in a range of caddis and hopper situations too Included in this pack are the following : Ahrex FW500 Dry Fly Hooks #10 Dry Fly Hackle Pack – Grizzly Natural/Blonde Possum Tail Half Deer Hair – Natural Perfect Possum Dubbing Parachute Post Wing 6/0 Thread – Brown All materials are also available to purchase as individual items in the Troutlore store. If you can’t find a product you are specifically looking for, get in touch and we will see if it can be sourced, and kept in stock. Plus, you can keep up to date with new releases through our newsletter and social media outlets. Due to supply shortages, we are sometimes unable to make up kits with the exact products as shown in the image. If specific materials are unavailable for these kits, we will replace them with an appropriate alternative to complete the kit. This should not affect the end result in the completed fly.
