This is a movement device: It makes no spinal-motion-restriction claim, provides no patient packaging, and is not a treatment platform. It is not on the CoTCCC Recommended Devices list — casualty movement is a TACEVAC skill, and no device inherits a recommendation from the phase of care it supports. The design trade is deliberate. A non-rigid platform conforms to the casualty and to whatever surface is underneath, which is what lets it pass through a space a rigid litter cannot — and it is also why it does not package a patient or support a long carry. Treat it as the bridge between where the casualty fell and where the real platform is waiting. Two operational notes. Movement never precedes life-threatening haemorrhage control; place the tourniquet, then move.
