Built for safely hauling an axe that is so important in the north-woods. Inspired by the norse bearded axes of olde, our Taiga Hatchet Sheath is handmade from high quality leather from S.B. Foot Tannery in Red Wing, MN. After being cut to shape by a hydraulic press and hot-stamped, the kit goes to our sewing and finishing floor, where the leather welt is bonded between the two facing sheets and sewn together using our industrial sewing machines and heavy duty thread. We cap it off with a solid brass sam brown post to reliably secure the sheath to your axe while giving adjustability for different sized and shaped heads.
