This kit replaces your factory tailgate latch mechanism with more modern latches for smoother and easier operation. The kit comes with everything you need, and the parts now come c oated in a zinc finish! Some trimming is required on the tailgate itself. You will also need to drill a hole in the tailgate jamb to install the provided rivnut, and lastly a hole in the bedside jamb for the striker mount. A template is provided for the trimming, and the brackets mount to existing holes to locate the needed additional holes. Overall, this is a very simple install! *Due to the manufacturing variances of factory and aftermarket parts for these older trucks, Tre5 Customs can not guarantee the fit of this product.
