A striking Japanese heirloom sunflower, Taiyo combines the bold presence of a traditional giant with the refined beauty of an ornamental. Plants reach 5 to 6 feet tall and produce large, golden-yellow blooms with dark, chocolate brown centers—classic, symmetrical, and picture-perfect. Originally bred in Japan, Taiyo became a favorite among gardeners worldwide for its strong stems, uniform form, and dependable flowering. Each plant produces one massive central bloom often exceeding 10 inches across, followed by several smaller side flowers that extend the season of color. Excellent for cutting or for use as a pollinator magnet, Taiyo Sunflower attracts bees and butterflies in abundance. Its sturdy stalks hold up well even in wind, making it an ideal choice for borders, backdrops, or cheerful summer bouquets. Matures in about 75 days. Each packet contains a minimum of 50 seeds.
