"Cara" is a series of egg-shaped tableware making the most of the warmth of wood as a material and thin-wood-curving techniques. The curve line of the egg fits gently in your hands. CARA series is designed by Japanese designer Rina Ono and handcrafted by Takahashi Kougei, a family-run wood workshop in Hokkaido, Japan. CARA series is rounded, smooth and made from light wood. The warmth of the wood and the round, egg shape feels perfect in the hand. Wood acts as a natural insulator.
