Liam Neeson returns as former CIA operative Bryan Mills, this time targeted for revenge by Murad Hoxha (Rade Šerbedžija), the father of one of the kidnappers Bryan killed in Paris. Set largely in Istanbul, the film sees Bryan and his ex-wife Lenore (Famke Janssen) taken captive, forcing their daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) to help engineer their escape. A slick, fast-paced sequel that delivers exactly what fans of the original came for — Neeson at his most formidable, relentless action and a propulsive Luc Besson script. A solid Blu-ray pick for action fans.Highlights Liam Neeson's commanding presence — Neeson owns every frame; his physicality, authority and dry delivery make Bryan Mills one of the great action heroes of the era, and the sequel gives him plenty of room to demonstrate why. The car chase sequence — A kinetic, well-staged pursuit through Istanbul's streets that is one of the film's action highlights; fast, chaotic and thoroughly entertaining.
