All items in this batch have sold out.The date for the next batch has not yet been determined. TakotaviaI do not have a large supply of many of the components used in Takotavia. My plan, then, is to build only 108 units. The 108 Takotavia pedals will be split over several, small-batch sales. What is Takotavia?Tako is the Japanese word for octopus. I mixed Tako and Octavia. That is how I named the Takotavia. Takotavia is based on the legendary Tycobrahe Octavia pedal. I wanted to retain the maximum appeal of the original’s unique upper octave sound and distinctive, unstable tone, so I made few changes to the original circuit. I have modified it slightly to my tastes. I have changed the circuit only a little, but you can feel the Lemon & Ginger character.I like the sound of it with the “boost” turned down, combined with other overdrive pedals or fuzz pedals. Takotavia is not a stand-alone pedal, it sounds best in a combination of other pedals. I hope you will find the best combination for your sound. With most battery-powered pedals, you have to unplug the pedal’s input jack every time you finish playing, to conserve battery power. However, Takotavia turns off the battery by setting the “VOLUME” to zero. So, now you can reduce battery consumption without having to unplug your patch cord from the input jack.Custom Color OptionIf you want the pedal in your favorite color, please add the Custom Color Option. I will make it in your favorite color. You will receive an email about Custom Color Option within a few days after the payment is completed. Please reply to the email with the color you want.Attention! I can paint the pedals in most colors. But if you want hammered patterns, pearlescent colors, competition lines, or aged please email([email protected]) me before you buy. I can make it for a small upcharge. Conversion connector OptionA conversion adapter is available for performers who want to use an external power source as well as a battery. You can use a center negative DC9V power supply by attaching it directly to the pedal's battery holder. Be sure to use an isolated power supply. Sharing power with regular pedals may cause either pedal to fail.
