At the heart of this blend are four varieties of frankincense resin oils, each prized for their distinctive aroma and skin-nourishing qualities: Boswellia carterii – earthy and resinous Boswellia frereana – light and sweet with a comforting feel Boswellia papyrifera – smooth, balsamic notes Boswellia sacra – rich and grounding They are paired with: Lavender essential oil – soft floral balance Sweet orange peel essential oil – bright and uplifting Vanilla oleoresin – warm, comforting sweetness Paired with our tallow and nourishing plant oils, this blend works to hydrate, protect, and restore your skin with every use. It’s globally approved by ECOCERT and COSMOS for use in natural and organic skincare, and it’s one of the few preservatives considered both skin-friendly and environmentally safe. Geogard 221 is biodegradable and non-persistent in the environment. It doesn’t release formaldehyde, contain parabens, or contribute to aquatic toxicity, making it a better choice for both your skin and the planet. It’s effective at very low usage rates, which helps us maintain the integrity of our formula while still ensuring microbial safety—especially important in water-based products like lotion.
