Tallow on its own doesn't lather very well, so I add Australian olive oil to bring more creaminess and bubbles to the bar. It's also rich in oleic acid, which conditions and softens the skin. Why tallow? Tallow is gentle, long-lasting and deeply nourishing. It contains naturally occurring fatty acids that closely mirror the skin's own lipid profile, helping to cleanse without stripping. It leaves the skin feeling soft and comfortable. Does the tallow have a beefy smell? No. The tallow used in my products has been properly refined, so it doesn't have a meaty or beef-like smell.
