'Tampan Chelonian Creatures' by artist Jennifer Tee is the newest limited-edition artwork commissioned by Kunstinstituut Melly in Rotterdam and is part of the 'Tampan Tulip' collage series made from pressed tulip petals. Their intricate compositions picture abstract patterns and design motifs taken from Tampan weavings (ceremonial textiles) found in the Lampung region of southern Sumatra, Indonesia. At Kunstinstituut Melly in Rotterdam the complete 'Tampan Tulip' collage series is now on view.
