V/A- 15 Tampoffs Fans 10". You may know of the Tampoffs from their split with the DC Snipers. The Tampoffs are a Boston band who have been around for years, but don’t get alot of notoriety outside of Boston. Having opened for most notable touring bands, they have gone virtually unnoticed outside of their local area and this comp. is trying to change that. The Tampoffs play absolutely nothing on this record, but they are involved in it. What you get is 15 people from the Tampoffs favorite four bands covering their songs. So the 10” includes 4 songs from the Konks, Spitzz, Turpentine Brothers, and Tommy And The Terrors. If you’re not familiar with these bands the Turpentine Brothers had a few records on Alive and Trouble in Mind and include members of Mr. Airplane Man, Kings of Nuthin’ and Far Corners. The Konks singer Kurt was also in Bullet LaVolta and drew the cover of the Zero Boys' "Vicious Circle" album. And Tom and Victoria from the Spitzz were in long standing MA punk band the Showcase Showdown. These are pretty hard to find and hand numbered out of 500 copies.
