The inserts are made in-house from a shatter-proof polyurethane and won't pop out on drops. Features Inserts can be popped in with your thumb, and are removable so you can swap out colors at any time Secure fit: won't fall out on hard drops. These inserts in particular are special (even by Zippy standards) because they use a 2-piece ball & socket construction to snap into place around the tang cutout and achieve an identical surface finish on both sides of the tang. Embargo Spacers sold separately Assembly Instructions Gently push in the thicker "socket" tang insert into the tang cutout. Flip the balisong over and then align the "socket" insert with the tang cutout and gently push it in. Then, push both sides of the tang insert together simultaneously with your fingers until they snap together and are each seated flush with the surface of the blade. Note that the fit is very tight and it will take moderate force to apply this procedure correctly. Disclaimer The size of the Embargo tang cutout was changed around Embargo #16. Consequently, this product ships with 2 sizes of tang inlays: a smaller tang inlay designed to fit the very earliest of Embargo units, and a larger tang inlay designed to fit the newer Embargo's.
