Because, no matter what you team it with, it’ll always work. From wide leg jeans and sandals to a leather midi skirt and mules – throw it on anytime, and go. The racer back top is perfect for layering, so you can take yours from spring to autumn, by pairing it with any of our other jersey styles. Why not wear it as a base layer under our Rock Tee? Or, when it gets really chilly, you can wear yours underneath boiler suits and shirts, too. Origins: The racer back top is a version of tank tops which came from tank suits, one-piece bathing suits of the 1920s worn in tanks or swimming pools. The build of a tank top is simple: the neck and armholes are often reinforced for durability. The upper garment was worn commonly by both men and women.
