Signed original lithograph on laid paper. Printed in a small edition of 200 for the German Expressionist portfolio Ganymed. Published by R. Piper & Co., Marées-Gesellschaft, Munich . Carl Hofer (1878 – 1955) was one of the most prominent German Expressionists. Hofer's works in the 1920s concentrate on unpretentious figure groups: couples, girls with their arms around one another, young men playing cards.
