The Taom Pro is a glue-on cue tip made from laminated pigskin, produced by Taom Billiards in Finland and sold as a single tip. It is built around grip on the cue ball, sitting a little softer than Taom's Heat tip at the same hardness grade, which is why it is generally chosen for screw and topspin work rather than for a firm, low-feedback hit. Two diameters are stocked here, and the build differs between them: the 10mm snooker tip uses six layers of pigskin, while the 14mm pool tip uses nine. The extra layers give more material to trim through over the life of the tip and help it hold its dome under the heavier contact typical of pool. Diameter is set by the ferrule on the cue rather than by preference, so measure before ordering. Hardness controls how far the tip compresses at impact: soft holds the cue ball longest and produces the most spin but wears through faster, hard transfers more energy into the shot and keeps its shape longer, and medium sits between the two. Fitting is to a cleaned, flat ferrule with cue tip adhesive.
