A standout highland-style 100% blue agave tequila from La Alteña distillery in Jalisco, widely respected for its traditional, hands-on production methods and clean, expressive agav e character. This is a reposado, meaning it’s rested in ex-bourbon barrels (typically around four months), just long enough to round out the edges of the blanco while keeping the agave very much front and centre. In the glass it’s a light golden straw colour, showing its short but meaningful time in oak. The nose is vibrant and layered:cooked agave, green apple, honey, white pepper and a hint of toasted nuts, with a subtle vanilla lift from the barrel. Show more
