We designed this tool mostly for small candle makers or hobby makers who don’t want to spend lots money to buy the expensive big dipping rack and the big wax pot; It works very well with the 4 lb wax pouring pot; if you only have the small 2 lb pot, you can just use the inner circle to make 8 candles; If you wish to make long tapers, you just need to use a deeper wax pot. Tips for making beautiful dipped tapers: 1. I suggest to use flat braided wick. 2. tie the nuts at the end to add weight so that your candles would be straight; 3. Wax temperature for dipping: around 170 F 4. dip with slow & steady motion 5. allow the candles to cool a little between dips. 6.
