Thursdays, September 24th and October 1st4:30-7:00 pm (2 Sessions) Project level: Beginner Curious about tapestry weaving? Learn how to turn yarn into art! This hands-on class introduces the basics of tapestry making, from setting up a loom to creating beautiful woven designs. This is an entry level course -- no prior weaving experience is necessary. Materials to purchase for class: Frame loom (available for purchase or rent for $15 for duration of class). Cotton warp Beater or table fork Pick up stick (optional) Shed stick (optional) Weft yarn in three colors (We recommend Gist Array yarn) One warm, one cool, and one contrast Tapestry needle Scissors Tape measure Materials Provided: Instructor will provide handouts and have samples and reference books.
