Explore the creation of tapestry weaving from start to finish! In this workshop, you will learn oh-so-much, including how to warp the loom, work with weaving tools, create basic patterns, select materials and colors, and how to take your piece-in-progress off the loom once home.Teaching ArtistMelonie is a fiber artist living just outside of Philadelphia. She studied fine art and art history in Italy - her fiber art combines her approach to classic oil painting and her passion for travel and world culture; combining global textures, form, and color into one medium. Skills + MaterialsThis is a beginner workshop and no previous experience is needed to participate. The workshop fee includes all of the supplies you need to get weaving - a beautiful small frame tapestry loom from Louet, a weaving shuttles, a pick-up stick, and plenty of yarn ~ all to take home with you after the workshop and continue to work with for many more projects! We are unable to offer make-ups or exchanges for missed workshop session(s).
