Tara Jones'Teeter', 2024 Watercolour pencil on paper. Part of a series of drawings centered around my ongoing investigation into the development of visual language from the medieval period to the present. As an artist, Tara practises under the name Tara Jones. Her work as a set stylist and photographic image maker, occurs in tandem to her ongoing dialogue with drawing and textile construction. Tara Holmes grew up in a small town in the North of England, but much of her childhood, was spent living in Africa and mainland Europe. Travelling light for many years, meant that once settled, she became something of a hoarder, with an eclectic eye for acquisition, arranging and placement. Tara has a keen interest in fashion and art. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Nancy Rubins, Jessica Stockholder, Sarah Sze and Picasso. All of whom have influenced her work and passion in constructing images.
