As an artisan perfumer and a dad of two rambunctious boys I spend most of my dayindoors and do not have time to think. I sometimes feel isolated once I go intomy studio in the wee hours of the night. When it all seems too much, I head to Caribou-Targhee National Forest, a short drive from my house. I leave stress behind and spendtime with nature. The silence of the forest cuts me off from the commotion at home as ifthe commotion had never begun. This is a primal silence that centers me.
