Tashkent may be a synonym for Uzbek Yellow. Tashkent figs have yellow skin and yellow pulp, giving an all around bright and beautiful appearance. The figs have a sweet and juicy honey flavored pulp. Growers are interested in this unique fig out of Uzbekistan, but have patience with this slow growing variety. Tashkent is not very cold hardy, so covering in winter is recommended. Or grow Tashkent in pots to overwinter indoors. Terms and Conditions: ***Please be sure to read our Terms and Conditions before purchasing cuttings*** When do we ship cuttings? Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December): We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March. **All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees. Rooted Cuttings(Spring): We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span.
