The HelleFisk is a fishing knife. The HelleFisk blade is 123mm long made out sandvik 12C27 stainless steel with a cork handle (130mm). The steel used for the HelleFisk is thin at only 13mm but is still quite stiff. As a result of the thinness of the blade and the cork handle the knife only weighs 2 ounces and will float in wate if it is sent overboard. The Handle. dry the handle with a soft cloth if wet and wax occasionally. The Blade. Wipe the blade with a soft cloth if wet and treat with grease occasionally. The Sheath. Will retain its colour if it is not left in direct sunlight for long periods. Impregnate occasionally with a colourless non-acidic grease or wax such as saddle grease or Dubbin.
